Common questions

The map is blank or won’t load

How do I delete my account and all of my data?

The fastest way is in-app:

  1. Open CrowdKick.
  2. Tap the Me tab at the bottom.
  3. Scroll down and tap Delete account & all data.
  4. Confirm. Your anonymous device ID, team preferences, pings, and any associated profile are permanently removed from our servers, and the app returns to onboarding.

If for any reason the in-app option does not work, email crowdkickapp@gmail.com from the device you want deleted and we will remove the data within 30 days.

How do I report a problem with another user’s pings?

Pings are anonymous coordinate-only check-ins; there are no usernames or messages. If you believe an area or venue is being abused (for example, fake or harassing pings clustered at a sensitive location), you have two options:

I picked the wrong team. How do I change it?

Open the Me tab in the app, scroll to Sports & teams, and pick a different team for any sport. Changes take effect immediately.

The app shows “No upcoming matches” for my team

Match data refreshes every 15 minutes from a public scoreboard feed. If your team has no fixtures in the next 14 days (off-season, between matchdays, etc.) the list will be empty until new fixtures are scheduled. Pull down on the Matches tab to force a refresh.

Why does CrowdKick need my location?

Two reasons: to render your position on the map, and (when the app is open) to anonymously contribute to the live fan-density heatmap. Location is requested as “When In Use” only — never in the background. If you deny permission, the rest of the app still works.

Are you affiliated with my favourite team or league?

No. CrowdKick is an independent fan app and is not affiliated with the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, EPL, or any team or league. League and team names and logos are used nominatively to identify the matches and teams the user has chosen to follow. Match data and team logos are provided by API-Sports.
